The province of Mpumalanga in South Africa boasts one of the most overwhelming natural wonders of the world, aptly called God's Window.
When you look through this natural "window" in the mountains, you can see the Lowveld stretching out beneath you right up to the misty horizon, as far as the eye can see.
Within a small km radius, other natural attractions and historical sites abound, like the well-known Blyde River Canyon, and Pilgrim's Rest - a mining town built around the end of the 19th Century during the Gold Rush, and later restored to its former glory.
