Hostal El Virrey is owned by Vanessa Ugarte one of the youngest proprietors in Cusco. The hotel has existed for more than 30 years and has always been kept within the Ugarte Family. The actual hotel name “El Virrey” is derived from the word “Viceroy”.
With her young mind Venessa recently renovated the hostal which is now able to offer a more proffesional service to its guests. There are two suites, both very amazing with very spacious rooms. Each Suite has a balcony overlooking Cusco’s Plaza de Armas. Something you will not find at any other hotel in Cusco.
Vanessa has truly followed in her father’s footsteps who has worked in Hostal El Virrey for 30 years. Vanessa is keeping that family spirit and hospitality alive with the detailed care that has characterized her family.
